From the Heart
Over 1,500 handcrafted challenge tokens, jewelry pieces, necklaces, and more have been handed out across the southeastern United States—known as the Bible Belt.
The cities include Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga (TN); Charlotte, Wilmington (NC); Columbia, Charleston (SC); Huntsville (AL); Atlanta (GA); Jacksonville, Daytona Beach (FL).
After about 1,000 handouts, not a single person completed the challenges. With this amount of effort from a solo artist, it seems people prefer corporations over genuine, face-to-face connection.
One final trip remains—to Washington, D.C., to paint four roots stretching from Nashville to the seas. After that, a journey on foot from Nashville to Las Vegas to paint the trunk. And in Vegas, I can only have faith that people will fly in to create the branches that will paint a tree spread across the world.
